American Garbage vs Israeli Trash: Garbage Pail Kids & International Ecotypes

The Garbage Pail Kids sticker cards became one of the most iconic phenomena of 1980s childhoods. Once they arrived in Israel, they were adapted for Israeli children under the name Havurat HaZevel. The adaptation was carried out by illustrators, graphic designers, copywriters, and advertising agencies in Israel, featuring a local twist with Hebrew-language content and Israeli cultural references.
