Isaiah and the Exodus: Returning from the Babylonian Exile

Dr. Yael Ziegler in a talk about Israel's salvation from Egypt, the seminal biblical event. Many prophets refer to Israel's liberation from Egypt, applying the miraculous narrative in various ways. In our first class, we will illustrate how the book of Isaiah adapts the story of the Exodus in order to inspire and encourage the exiles of Babylon to pursue their own liberation.
