Guy Mazig | "Otherwise I Wouldn’t Sing"

"I remember the escape home. My legs gave out from fear, my muscles weren’t functioning... I was walking and shaking," says Guy Mazig about the kidnapping attempt he went through in Lod when he was in elementary school. "He was probably a Muslim Arab who infiltrated Israel. He tried to drag me and a friend to an illegal village. We resisted and somehow escaped, literally with a large stone that I threw at his head and with a torn shirt."

In the new episode of "Song of Hope", Guy Mazig returns to his childhood in Lod, tells how the meeting with the female observers from Nahal Oz rekindled his faith in mankind, and gives a personal rendition of "Otherwise I Wouldn’t Sing" by Ehud Manor and Hanan Yovel.
