Parashat Vayishlach - Parting Ways

Parashat Vayishlach describes Jacob's return to the land of Canaan and the practical and spiritual preparations for the expected meeting with Esau. Jacob prepares for disaster and at the same time tries to appease Esau with gifts. Surprisingly, Esau is prepared to make peace but it is Jacob who rejects Esau's friendly offer. Why doesn’t Jacob want to reawaken his relationship with Esau? Will the brothers reconcile with each other?
