Tomer Yeshayahu first heard the music that would go on to shape him in his grandfather’s Chevrolet Cavalier, as they drove to eat out together in Tel Aviv’s Hatikva Quarter. The red-haired boy, who will continue looking like a typical Nirvana fan, was struck from the very first notes - Aris San’s music will forever stay deep in his heart, ears, and fingers.
In this new episode of “A Taste of Music”, Hedai Offaim welcomes Tomer Yeshayahu into his kitchen for a session of cooking, singing, and conversation to mark the end of summer. While toiling over a particularly festive fish dish, they talk about Yeshayahu's long-standing love affair with Greek music, the identity crisis triggered by the political situation, and songs that begin as conversations with strangers on the train.
Cooking: fish sofrito and stuffed zucchini flowers.
Playing: “You're everything to me too.”
