The Maccabee Queen
A woman of faith and courage, Alexandra (Shlomzion HaMalka) survives two murderous husbands, civil war and foreign invasions to rule as the last queen of Judea – with the help of her ally, Cleopatra III of Egypt. A play about an epic era, full of conflicts that reverberate down to present times in this fast-moving, action-packed tale of an important – and little known – historical period.
