From Rupture to Healing

The devastation inflicted on an entire range of Jewish institutions, beginning with the cessation of sacrificial worship, placed into question the ongoing relationship between God and Israel. Was this relationship severed? What alternate paths of religious devotion were established? This session will examine some of these alternatives, most notably the role of prayer.
