Parashat Haazinu – The Last Lesson

The Torah describes God’s command to Moses to climb the mountain and see the Land of Israel with his own eyes. This is a spiritual kind of ‘seeing’ and Moses understands that he will not enter the land but will die at the top of the mountain. The text uses a unique term to describe this day. We will try to understand this term and its appearances in other biblical scenes.
