Parashat Vayechi | Blessing for generations

The book of Bereshit described power struggles between civilizations, people and even siblings. Yet the book ends with Jacob blessing two brothers and without creating tension or animosity. How did Ephraim and Menashe manage to remain brothers despite Jacob's blessing? What is the message that Jacob wanted to teach his family and us?
