The Israel Museum hosts Beit Avi Chai in the period between Rosh Chodesh Adar and Passover, when an interesting additional section is read every Shabbat alongside the week's Torah portion.
A weekly meeting between Prof. Avigdor Shinan and one of the curators of the Israel Museum for a slightly different conversation on topics that arise from the reading, combined with special exhibits and works of art from the Israel Museum's collection.
This meeting, with Dr. Adolfo Roitman, curator and director of the Shrine of the Book, deals with Shabbat Parah: Burial, bones and the concept of death - "Let them bring thee a red heifer, faultless”.
