Parashat Noah: A woman of the field, injustices and amulets

In honor of Parashat Noah we will meet Naama, Noah's wife according to the ancient sources.

Rabbi Prof. Delia Marx and curator Gioia Perugia will follow the evolution of Naama's character into the character of Lilith, and the world of talismans created around her character.

The Israel Museum is hosting Beit Avi Chai for a series of meetings that include a slightly different conversation about the weekly Torah portion.

Every week, Prof. Avigdor Shinan or Rabbi Prof. Dalia Marx will talk with the museum's curators about the notable figures and topics that arise from the week's parashah or haftara. The meetings are filmed in the natural environment of the works and exhibits in the museum halls. In this way the Jewish texts and their interpretations are examined against the world of images and museum exhibits, and the combinations create a new and completely unconventional point of view.
